The School Choice Lottery Window for the 2025-26 school year is now open, giving families the best chance of winning a seat for their children in their preferred District school.
If there is room in their preferred school, and transportation is not an issue, students are welcome: regardless of residency and other factors.
Through the Lottery Window, which closes on Monday, February 10, applicants have an equal chance of winning a seat in their preferred school. Parents can submit a School Choice application any time before the deadline to participate in the lottery. Parents will be notified of their lottery results in early March.
Parents can still submit an application after the Lottery Window closes, at 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, to have their students added to the selected schools’ wait lists.

According to Magnet Schools Director Drew Hirshon, leadership teams at Centennial High School, Park View Elementary School and Risley International Academy of Innovation have developed action plans for the implementation of Project Based Learning for the upcoming school year.

The Pueblo Summer Musical – the product of a long-standing partnership between District 60 and Pueblo Parks and Recreation – returns to the Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center Saturday and Sunday (2 p.m.) and continuing July 15-18 (7 p.m.)

“I knew I wanted to continue my forward trajectory in my career, but I also knew it had to be the right fit,” she explained. “Pueblo, and the diversity and the uniqueness of the community – the fact that it has a true work ethic – really appealed to me. People who are really focused on working hard in order to get you where you want to go resonates with me."
